Greg de Villanova

He started his career in the late 90’s in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil, playing oldies American funk, Nigerian afrobeat, Brazilian grooves & salsa in local avant-garde parties.

Since he settled back in Paris, France, in 2002, he’s been a figurehead of the local & international tropical oldies music revival, playing a wide range of Caribbean, African, Latin & Brazilian grooves, mostly on original vintage vinyl as well as on digital format. He's also known for his Oriki Music label which has reissued West African music rarities, such as Malian funk master Moussa Doumbia and giants like Orchestra Baobab. Greg is before all things a globetrotter who lives between Africa, Brazil & France, searching and sharing the some of the best dancing gems this world has ever produced.
